After founding Red Sage in 2006, Ellen Didier has led Red Sage to its achievement of being one of Alabama’s top strategic communication and design firms, with a reputation for providing a wide range of communication solutions that yield results, delivered with exceptional customer service. Ellen and her company have been recognized with many awards, including being named the 2013 Small Business Person of the Year for Alabama by the US Small Business Administration.
Ellen has over 20 years of marketing and web experience in local, regional, and national markets; and has worked with clients ranging from communities to large manufacturers to individual entrepreneurs. Ellen’s forte is strategy. She helps communities grow by learning their goals, analyzing brand messaging, and developing strategic roadmaps for improving the way they communicate to potential tourism visitors, site selectors, stakeholders, existing industries, and target industries. She has led branding initiatives for national companies, including top executives from different facility locations nationwide, and has partnered with Alabama Power, PowerSouth Energy Cooperative, and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) on marketing and web projects for various communities.
Ellen is a frequent speaker at various community organization events and economic development conferences for groups such as the Southern Economic Development Council (SEDC), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA). With a dynamic and motivational style, Ellen connects and engages with audiences to provide practical strategies that can be put into use immediately. She covers a wide range of topics, including community branding, entrepreneurship, and best practices in website development, social media, and marketing.
