Ellen founded her company, Red Sage Communications, Inc., in 2006 to help businesses, communities, and organizations achieve their goals by taking a more strategic approach to marketing. Named the 2013 Small Business Person of the Year for Alabama by the US Small Business Administration, her leadership developed the company into a prominent strategic marketing and communications firm recognized each year with awards in both local and international graphic design and web design competitions.

Ellen has led branding and marketing initiatives with clients ranging from economic development groups to national companies including top executives from different facility locations nationwide. She looks forward to providing practical solutions, thoughtful innovations, and results-oriented strategies easy to implement within your organization.

A graduate of Leadership Alabama Class XXII, Ellen is passionate about giving back to her community, currently serving as Vice President of the Rotary Club of Decatur, and as board member for the Decatur City Schools Foundation, Athens State University Board of Visitors, and the Calhoun Community College Foundation. She is past chair of WBCNA, the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, and the Decatur City Schools Foundation.
